From the beginning –
Last year, around December, I began the story mesh. The name and the logo were something that came to me (as weird as it might sound) through a dream. It was a vague dream, about a horse with mesh wings (that’s a story for another time).

I self-taught myself and created a website, a logo, and a brand identity. With a not-so-perfect website, I promised myself that I would post at least 1 to 2 stories per week and that’s what I did. Over a year, I had more than 50 stories in my portfolio and a strong reader base.
After a year, I knew it was time to commit to something more than just stories. I knew it was time for “THE STORY”. It was time for the dream I have had since I was a child. So I took a break from posting stories every week, now that I had set myself up as a writer.

I began working on a greater story, something which I knew would take years (that’s what I have been and will be working on) and through this, I was constantly stressing myself over “the story mesh” and what it is. This was the same time that I believe I was under a writer’s block, pulling me down further. It was exhausting. Not able to write something, anything. So I took a break and began multiple projects which I miserably failed at.

But recently, I entered a writing contest in a college fest, which was also my first ever writing competition and I WON! It had been months since I had even written anything and that day when I wrote, I did not expect but I did win. While going back home, I felt a strong urge to redefine the story mesh and make something big out of it. I had gained my confidence in my skills back and after days and weeks of brainstorming, this is what I have come up with.

I decided that I would not lock myself with deadlines and too many commitments, rather I would let it be a creative process and as creativity is- it must be unbound. No more stressing over writing. It is something I love to do, it is my form of expression so why force it?

The story mesh is simply about a writer who writes about the ancient world. It’s about her life, a writer’s life, and everything she writes about.

The story mesh is for all the writers out there, for the readers, and anyone who loves the ancient world of India just like I do. (Though that won’t be the only thing I write about.)
Also, a small note of gratitude for all of you, who were with me since the beginning. For all those small texts, appreciating my efforts and my writings, they really mean a lot to me and that’s what kept me going.

Anddddddd to end this with, there’s something big big coming up. Two things actually. So stay tuned! I feel so excited while writing this!!!! Can’t wait to share the news and my writings with you.
