(BTW, this is my 50th story!!!)
“It’s just a dream. It’s just a dream,” she whispered with hope under a heavy breath. Her feet were sinking in the hot desert sand, her hair caressing her brown skin. She raised her arm and placed her hand on her forehead as she narrowed her eyes, searching for a sign of life in this vast terrain of nothingness. She had no memory of how she had landed in a desert. No memory of what was past, but just a faded image of another girl, her age, with blue eyes, clutching a red emerald in her hands. She took a deep breath and stepped ahead, dusting the sand off her feet. The scorching heat of the sun was piercing her tan skin. She pulled and tore a piece of her blue skirt and tied it to her head, which was bursting with the harsh heat. “walk Ahaya, walk. just keep on walking. You’ll find someone.” she thought to herself and began her journey. A journey into nothingness.
Chapter 2 coming out next week.
(Another milestone!!! When I started writing stories weekly, I never thought I would be consistent with it. There were past commitments I had failed at, past projects I started and gave up on. But here I am, writing my 50th post on the story mesh. 50!!!! This is incredible for me!!! There wasn’t a single week when I failed to write, amidst all the duties, exams, vacations, trips, and writing blocks, I always showed up. However, there are a few stories that are my worst writings, because obviously, no one can come up with stories every week. I still put those stories out. Why hide the bad side? Let people see the truth, good writing and bad writing. Not only my best writing but my bad side as well. And through all this, through writing 50 stories, I still haven’t figured it out. I still have no plans. No answer to “what is the story mesh”. I just keep on writing. )
