(Am I running out of stories? Or maybe my mind is too drained up to create and write ‘long stories.’ It’s the exam month- boards and entrance. The story of this one was good but the writing skills in me freezes sometimes. One of those times. Btw do comment on my stories if you read any of them, they keep me going. And anyways the length of the story doesn’t matter- it is a story!!!)
POV: You just had this conversation with your best friend and then you leave.
“If she was a book, would you read all the pages?” Shruti whispered, lowering her voice as the librarian cast an annoyed gaze at her and Jatin.
“And is this the way you think about someone?” Jatin frowned.
“No, just flowed out of my mind” replied Shruti raising her left eyebrow and narrowing her deep black eyes.
“Well, I am not a reader, but if she was a book, I would read every single word,” Jatin said, his cheeks blushed as he lowered his gaze. “And that was an awful way Shruti”.
Shruti smiled gently, nodding her head. She grabbed her books and turned to leave. “I’ll leave, I am already late for the class. See you later” she said and left the library.
As you walk down the stairs, Jatin rushes and grabs your arm to stop you. He says “It is you. It has always been you”. You are frozen. You smile softly and turn and leave. You have been friends for years now, since school and there were moments you felt the same for him. As you rush back to the class, nervous and excited, the book in your hand vibrates. You ignore the sensation and take your seat in the class. After a long boring lecture, you feel the book vibrating again. You had borrowed this book from the library a week ago. You turn the pages of the book and your breath freezes.
“He is danger. He will kill you. He loves you but he will be your end. Beware.” you read these lines on the last page of the book, written with fresh ink. You remember it wasn’t there until now. The book vibrates again and the words disappear.
